2-year Doctor's Appointment

Last week we had Lizzy's 2 year Doctor's Appointment. It seems like her growth has really slowed down the last 6 months. Her weight is getting closer to normal but she is now 36 inches tall and still in the 96th percentile for height.

Lizzy has definitely hit the Terrific 2's. When she wants to be, she is the sweetest little girl, but she can also be so difficult. She is still eating and sleeping great, though. If Lizzy had her way she would have a big bowl of Nutella for breakfast, a big plate of Chicken Nuggets for lunch and a big bowl of Sour Cream for dinner every day. Besides that she loves strawberries, apple sauce, Frozen Gogurts and rolls. She will often take 1-2 hours to go to sleep at night but sleeps so well. She also doesn't hardly ever complain when we put her to bed. If she's not sleepy, she will just hang out in our crib and practice talking and entertain herself.

Lizzy loves hitting Expos just like her Daddy. We recently hit the Home Show and the Auto Show,
where Lizzy got to drive a little Jeep around a course with other kids.

Lizzy is really talking like crazy lately. She loves repeating everything we say, which is teaching us to watch what we say in front of her. She will also put together long 7-8 word sentences all on her own. She loves saying, "What are you doing?" and our current favorite, "Nope, I don't think so."  Here are a few fun conversations we've had with her recently:

Lizzy: "Daddy, is it Monday?"
Daddy: "No, it's Wednesday."
Lizzy: "Is it Friday?"
Daddy: "No, but it will be Friday in 2 days."
Lizzy: "Yay!"

A few days ago, Janell sighed and sat down on a chair and said she was tired. So Lizzy came over and said this:

Lizzy: "Mommy tired?"
Mommy: "Yeah, are you tired?"
Lizzy: "No, I'm happy and Birdie's happy." (She was holding her talking parrot)

Gymnastics

Lizzy just started Mommy and Me Gymastics last week.  She loves going to "dance" each week in her new leotard.  They do fun "routines" on the floor, bars and balance beam!  It's nice to have  "big girl" outing weekly to get the wiggles out.
