The rest of December

Here are a few things we did in December when we weren't busy with work, taking Lizzy to the Emergency Room, our remodel project, moving, Lizzy's birthday, and Christmas.

Lizzy's preschool had a Christmas performance:

Then her dance class had an end of semester recital:

Lizzy loved playing in the snow in her new yard:

And we even threw in a visit to Santa:

Now we're looking forward to a busy & fun 2013!

Christmas

Since we just moved into our house 3 days before Christmas we had a lot of unpacking to do and just barely got the Christmas tree up on Christmas Eve. Lizzy had a great time helping us decorate it and it was so nice having Christmas in our "new" house.

Acting out the Nativity on Christmas Eve.  Lizzy was so cute - without any
direction, she took the baby doll that was going to be baby Jesus and
stuck him under her shirt for the trip to Bethlehem.

Santa came!

Lizzy was so much fun for Christmas this year.  She really enjoyed putting out cookies for Santa and she was so excited about the whole process.  She even learned about how Santa only comes for kids who are being good.  She knew that Santa only comes when you are asleep and she talked about how he was super quiet that night when he came-- so that she didn't even know he was there.  After a long December, it was such a nice quiet Christmas at home.

Lizzy's 3rd Birthday

Lizzy turned 3 the week before Christmas. We had a Doc McStuffins party with her friends before we moved from our house in the Villas. On her birthday we hit Chuck E Cheese's which was awesome; and then she had some fun parties with cousins from both sides.

Our Remodel Project

The first of December our renters moved out of our house and we went back in for the first time in almost 2 years. They took really good care of it and were great renters but there were a few renovations we wanted to do before we moved back in. We ripped out the tile and carpet and put laminate flooring on the main floor and new carpet upstairs. We also ripped out a bedroom upstairs to make a nice little toy room.

After the work was all done we found out there was a gas leak which took another week to fix and find but luckily everything was finished and we were able to move in the Saturday before Christmas.
