June

We're glad June is over. It was busy but fun. Early in the month we went to the zoo for Shawn's company party. Lizzy had a great time with the other kids and we enjoyed seeing the new Rocky Shores exhibit with Seals, Bears, and Otters.

Lizzy continues to be so entertaining. Recently Janell reported to us that she was finally caught up on her email and Lizzy asked, "You did it, all by yourself?" She loves asking that question lately. She now enjoys singing along with all of the songs we sing to her. Her favorite is, "I Am a Child of God" and she knows all 4 verses.

In a recent Family Home Evening we decided to try acting out the Parable of the Laborers from the Bible. So, we got Lizzy's little people farm and her and all of her dolls worked to take care of the animals in exchange for money. She didn't get the lesson in the fact that the dolls that only worked for the last part of the day got the same amount as the dolls that had to work the whole day, but she thought it was the funnest game ever. She now loves to gather up all of her dolls and she takes turns having them help with an animal on the farm and then she gives them a coin. It is so cute.

We also had a weekend where we had 4 of Lizzy's cousins stay with us for a couple of days which was a party.

We also went to the Princess Festival for the first time with Lizzy's cousins Michael and Emma. She dressed up as Rapunzel and had such an awesome time.

Then the last week of June, with the rest of the float committee, we finished up our Angry Birds Float and walked with it in the Lehi City Parade. That was a blast, but we had to walk in the parade both Friday night and Saturday morning. For the first parade, Lizzy sat on the float and waved and smiled the whole time. She was "all funned out" by the end of the second parade though.
