March

Wow - what to say for March?  Not sure where the time went.  We've just been doing the day to day and waiting for spring.  Shawn & Lizzy were counting down the days until they could plant their indoor garden.  Lizzy also went through a phase where she loved playing games so we played a lot of Candy Land, Cooties and Dominoes.

One evening at dinner Lizzy told Shawn that she knows what happened to all the Tyrannosaurus Rexs'. She said that the way to defeat them is to just bite off their tail because without it they can't stand up and will just fall over. She is sure that's what happened to them and she knows who did it too: the dolphins. We think this is pretty likely; after all the dolphins are the 2nd smartest species on the planet. "So long and thanks for all the fish!"

Daddy daughter garden time.

Got to see cousin Anna become Little Miss Lindon Queen.
Lizzy has been attending "Crafternoon"
She LOVED the slime she made at Crafternoon!

Free day at Discovery Gateway Children's Museum.  She loved the dress ups.

She got to fly a helipcopter,

and she got to work in construction.
Lizzy taught her first FHE lesson on the Plan of Salvation.

We won a super hero dress up kit from Little Adventures.
Lizzy put it right into action.
FYI, her super hero name is Jessica White.
Lizzy has a new favorite way to wear jammies - we call it Lalaloopsy Jammers.  It comes from mixing and matching tops, bottoms and skirts from different pj's to create a new crazy combination.

February trip to St. George

We usually try to go on a little trip in February to celebrate our anniversary. Since we didn't plan ahead enough for our 12th Anniversary on 2/15, we ended up doing a Staycation. Then at the end of February we did a getaway to St. George in search of warmer weather. It wasn't significantly warmer but it was a really nice trip. We had a nice weekend hiking, swimming, grilling, hitting the free kid's museum and Brigham Young's Winter Home.

We checked out Snow Canyon where our favorite hike was Jenny's Canyon

Riding "Sally" in the game room at our resort

Lizzy loved dressing up as Betsy Ross,

working at a bank

working as a mechanic,
and dressing up as a princess.

A Quiet January

We had a really fun January. We spent some time at Thanksgiving Point, went to a couple of expos, and got to see VocalPoint in concert. We also went to the zoo and then Lizzy got to visit her cousin in Primary Children's Hospital. Lizzy loved their big play area and then doing crafts in the room afterwards. At this point, she wouldn't mind spending more time in the hospital.  Lizzy enjoyed taking her Elsa doll to the ice castles.
