10 months - a bunch more firsts

Lizzy has hit such a great age. She eats and sleeps so well. She loves to talk and will try to repeat a lot of the things we say. She now has 2 bottom teeth and 1 top tooth with a 2nd top tooth working on breaking through. She is finally starting to like other people and loves playing with her cousins and grandparents.

Lizzy is still such a handful. She loves to crawl all over and pull herself up on everything. She can now reach top drawers and some tables and countertops. She learned to climb stairs a few weeks ago and loves doing that every chance she gets. She loves music and will stop whatever she is doing if she hears any. She also loves looking at books and being read to.

This last month brought a lot of new firsts for Lizzy. To start with she did her first 5K with her mom, cousin and aunt.

That's her game face

After the race. 5Ks are tiring.

This isn't her first Christmas, but she cut last Christmas a little close, so she wanted to start working on her Christmas list early this year.

We also had our first big family trip with Lizzy. We went down to Anaheim and stayed in a Wyndham condo and hit the beach and Disneyland. Lizzy was so thrilled to have some of her cousins with us on the trip. She loved feeling like she had siblings for the week.

Her favorite rides at Disneyland were: It's a Small World, Tiki Room and Winnie the Pooh. We've been playing Tiki Room, Yo Ho, and Small World songs for her for months so she enjoyed hearing those songs. It was 60's and rainy the whole time we were there so it wasn't your typical SoCal vacation, but at least it wasn't too hot and the lines were great. Hope you like pictures.

Lizzy finally understands why we've been playing the Tiki Room over and over for 6 months.

Waiting for the World of Color show. Lizzy actually fell asleep during it even though it's louder than bombs.

After lunch at the Blue Bayou in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

Lizzy didn't like life-size Minnie too much.

Janell and Lily waiting for the Pixar parade.

Not enjoying this Minnie much either

She didn't mind making herself comfortable in Minnie's kitchen, though.

Lily was an awesome driver. She won.

Oh, that Lizzy.

Move over mixer, here I come!

Somehow, Lizzy got an awful scrape at the pool. We don't know when it happened because she didn't cry about it that we know of, but it is impossible to get healed with her crawling on it all day.

When picking a house, Janell has always pictured the day when our child would stand at our back windows and look out at the scenery. I don't think she imagined our baby would start doing it at 9 months and actually be tall enough to see out the window by then, but Lizzy loves to look out the windows.

Watching the rain out the window

Tigger seemed to be Lizzy's favorite Disney character.

Playing in a pool of her toys

She almost had me believing that she was reading that book

Man, she's a good sport
