Disneyland

Though Lizzy is still 2 years old this was her 3rd trip to Disneyland and it was definitely our best trip yet. We've been very lucky to have Bailey cousins come with us two out of the last three years and it made it so much more fun for Lizzy.

Two years ago we went in the middle of October and it was cold and rainy the whole time so this time we decided to go in the middle of September in hopes of having warmer weather. Forecasts before we got there said low 80's every day but it changed by the time we got there. Most of the days were high 90's but our very last day at Disneyland hit 107 degrees! The good news is it wasn't very busy.

She had a bouncing party with Tigger - the picture doesn't quite capture it, but it was SO cute!

Lizzy loved the rides this year. Her favorite was the Gadget Coaster in ToonTown and she wanted to just ride that over and over again. She rode it with her arms in the air while she screamed.  (Not because she was scared, she just knows that it's appropriate roller coaster protocol.)  She also loved It's a Small World and the new Ariel ride.

One of the days, Lizzy dressed up as Rapunzel and we went to a character breakfast where she got to spend some time with a bunch of her favorite characters. She was much more brave with the characters this year but was still a bit afraid of the villains and scary animal characters. As you can see below, she was even scared of Eeyore initially.  That same day we visited a bunch of the princesses and Lizzy even got to see Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.

One of our favorite memories is from our last day at Disneyland. It was SO hot outside and we'd heard about a dance party for the little kids called Dancing with Disney that was inside.  So we went in there during the afternoon and Lizzy got to dance with some Disney characters. She was scared of the Big Bad Wolf and Captain Hook but she got comfortable with Baloo and King Louie.  She even ended up dancing two whole dances with King Louie.
