Lizzy Turns 3 (months)

Hard to believe Lizzy is already 3 months old. As first time parents, hitting a quarter of a year seems like a big deal. Lizzy didn’t seem to think it was anything too special though; she just treated it like any other day. It’s been a while since we have weighed or measured her, but she is really growing fast. She has grown out of her 0-3 months clothes and is wearing a lot in the 3-6 months. She even has a few 9 months and 12 months items she is wearing, just because she is so tall!

We are still trying to figure out the best nighttime schedule for her, but she feeds consistently every 4 hours throughout the day and then will make it anywhere from 7-10 hours at night. You may be able to see in her pictures that she has a hemangioma on the top of her head (on the back left). It just looks like a goose-egg and is about 1 inch in diameter. It is supposed to go away within a year or two and luckily the bows cover it up nicely.

Lizzy is really trying out her voice a lot lately making a lot of different sounds which is really cute. Her cry is even changing. Her main reason for crying lately is when she wants us to walk around with her. She gets in moods where she doesn’t want to just be held against us where she can’t see anything. She really likes to be walked around the house so she can look at all the lights and anything shiny.

Lizzy really does a great job of allowing Janell to work part-time during the week. She can be content for hours sitting in her bouncing chair playing with her toys or just laying in her pack-n-play and talking to herself. We also spend time doing tummy time and putting her in her Bumbo to practice sitting up. We have even tried her for a few minutes in an exer-saucer. For her afternoon nap, she usually prefers her swing.

Lizzy just keeps getting cuter and more fun every day. She mostly just likes to be talked to or for daddy to make fun noises with her and she will talk along and try to mimic the things we do. She isn’t interested in too many toys other than the one she can reach on her bouncy chair. She smiles and coos all the time and will smile at anyone who is holding her. We think she had the beginnings of a giggle a couple of times now, but nothing too long or pronounced. She is just the sweetest, funnest little baby.
